Why participate?

Owners of smart energy devices can now unlock additional rewards when they enrol their devices in Virtual Power Plants (VPPs) managed by electricity retailers.

When aggregated in these VPPs, smart devices can provide services to support a cleaner, more efficient electricity grid – and earn their owners’ additional rewards in return.

The deX Device Registration site provides a side-by-side comparison of available reward schemes for customers wishing to enrol their device in a VPP.

Participating energy service providers

The registration process is simple:

Register your details. You’ll be asked to provide information about your device which we will use to show you available offers* from our partners.
Select the offer that suits you best. You’ll be directed to our partner’s website.
The chosen provider will confirm your details and how you’ll be rewarded for the services provided by your smart energy device to support the grid.

*Currently offers are displayed from Amber Electric and Discover Energy. Offers from other retailers are coming soon.

BONUS: After the process is completed, you will be eligible for up to $100 as a thank-you from your energy service provider.

We are continuing to expand the list of participating companies.

What if my device is not listed?

We continue to work with smart energy device sellers to expand the range of supported devices, including those eligible for the South Australia Home Battery Scheme subsidy.
